The Grapevine (3/30/22): Shane McMahon Returning To WWE For WrestleMania, Toni Storm Rumored For This Week's Dynamite, Drew McIntyre Update

Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the important founded and unfounded rumors floating around the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the past few days. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!

    Shane McMahon expected at WrestleMania

WWE is reportedly bringing in Shane McMahon at some capacity during WrestleMania weekend. It is not clear yet what role he would be taking in the company, but it does seem like any heat has been squashed. McMahon was taken out of the company after reportedly getting heat from trying to put himself unnecessarily over in this year's men's Royal Rumble match. (Source: PWInsider)

We say: This is an interesting development, and may likely backfire if he's given a considerable role backstage—which it likely won't be.

Toni Storm rumored to debut on this week's Dynamite

Former WWE Superstar Toni Storm is rumored to be debuting on this week's episode of Dynamite. AEW is scheduling a big female signing on the episode, and the mystery star will be facing The Bunny in a qualifier match for the women's Owen Hart Cup. While Storm has not been 100% confirmed, she is heavily being speculated to be the signing. Other names AEW were reportedly interested in include Athena (the former Ember Moon) and Nixon Newell (the former Tegan Nox). (Source: Fightful Select)

We say: AEW proceeds to add more people to their stacked roster—and they actually do need to add more women. Toni Storm is a great get for any women's division, and the other names involved are as well. We're looking forward to AEW reinforcing their scene with them.

Drew McIntyre to feud with Roman Reigns after WrestleMania

Drew McIntyre is scheduled to feud with Roman Reigns in the weeks following WrestleMania. Live events scheduled for April see McIntyre facing Reigns in their main events, which may be a sign of what's to come at the show. (Source: WrestlingNews.co)

We say: Looks like Reigns is set to win the main event of WrestleMania as expected. Make of that what you will.
