The Grapevine (2/7/22): WWE Employees Not Happy With Big E's Current Treatment, Reigns/McIntyre Pushing Through

Big E and Angel Garza on WWE SmackDown

Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the important founded and unfounded rumors floating around the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the past few days. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!

Superstars not happy with Big E's creative treatment

In addition to WWE Superstars feeling low morale over recent shows and creative directions, there is also said to be disappointment and frustration over how Big E had been treated last month. Many have felt that the former WWE Champion lost all momentum after he had lost his WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar at Day 1 and had been quickly eliminated without much fanfare at this year's men's Royal Rumble. Big E, who had been moved back to the SmackDown brand, is said to be very beloved by WWE talent and staff. (Source: PWTorch)

We say: Big E totally got a raw deal, and there hasn't even been an effort to keep him in the championship picture as the company completely just moved on from him. If his position mattered to him a lot, he should take that as a huge slight—the fans already do.

Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre still pushing through

The Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre feud that was originally scheduled for Royal Rumble is still set to happen, but not in the immediate future. McIntyre was written off at Day 1 for a nagging neck injury, and returned early to be an entrant in the men's Royal Rumble match. He is scheduled to wrestle Madcap Moss in a match at Elimination Chamber this month. (Source: WON)

We say: Well, whenever that is, we'll be ready.
