The Grapevine (10/15/21): New Rumors On Bray Wyatt's WWE Release, WWE Wanted To Split AJ Styles and Omos

    Bray Wyatt

Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the important founded and unfounded rumors floating around the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the past few days. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!

WWE apparently had issues with Bray Wyatt

New rumors surrounding Bray Wyatt's release claim that the former WWE Champion was "difficult to work with" and had "weight issues." There was also the reported issue with how much Wyatt had been making on his contract. All of these rumored issues apparently compounded enough for WWE to consider releasing him. In related news, Tony Khan has said that he has not spoken with Wyatt. (Source: Andrew Zarian)

We say: This case grows increasingly strange with every new development, but at this point, most fans have already accepted his release from WWE and are just waiting for him to reappear in a new company.

    News from the WWE Draft

WWE apparently wanted to break up AJ Styles and Omos in the recently concluded WWE Draft. It was just stopped after some officials felt that Omos was not yet ready to be a singles wrestler. Another team that was originally figured to break up was the Street Profits, but that also did not push through. (Source: @WrestleVotes)

We say: This is a rare and interesting case of Vince McMahon actually listening to sensible counsel, although some of us still think that the Street Profits should've split up.
