The Grapevine (7/30/21): Brock Lesnar Is Not Going To AEW, Jon Moxley Looking To Face Hiroshi Tanahashi

    Brock Lesnar

Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the important founded and unfounded rumors floating around the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the past few days. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!

Brock Lesnar is not headed to AEW

The rumors of Brock Lesnar signing with AEW are not true. There had been a rumor that Lesnar signed with a non-WWE company, that being AEW, but it is apparently not true as there had not been any serious talks between the two parties. Lesnar is also not appearing for SummerSlam and is not clear on when he will be returning to WWE. (Source: Wrestling Observer Live)

We say: Well, that takes care of that rumor.

Jon Moxley looking to face Hiroshi Tanahashi at All Out

Jon Moxley has pitched to work with a top NJPW star at All Out, presumably Hiroshi Tanahashi. This follows Tanahashi's challenge to current IWGP United States Champion Lance Archer for NJPW Resurgence on August 14 and Moxley's mention of Tanahashi in his promo on Fight For the Fallen this week. (Source: Wrestling Observer Radio)

We say: This should be fun, and it seems like it's the obvious choice since Tanahashi is already in the US.
