WWE officials still want Aleister Black back, keeping him away from AEW
There are still officials within WWE pushing to re-sign Aleister Black, feeling that his release last month was "premature." These officials also feel like AEW's interest in the former Aleister Black also contributed to this desire to get him back, but there's no word on any offer from WWE so far. (Source: PWInsider)
We say: If anything, this proves that there is a lot of internal clashing going on in WWE, and it seems like there are more than one different voices pushing for different things. It feels like the operations side is forcing the departments in charge of creative to do something they don't want, if people feel like they still need Aleister Black (and they do). We'll keep our eyes on this, but it's in Tommy End's best interests to sign with a company that will know what to do with him. (Ideally.)
King of the Ring return being hinted
Social media posts from WWE are insinuating a return of the King of the Ring tournament. Baron Corbin stated in an appearance on The Bump that he was open to competing in the tournament again, which he last won in 2019. Adam Pearce tweeted that he had "conversations with Corbin about the topic," telling everyone to stay tuned.
We say: If that's not confirmation, we don't know what is, but we wish we didn't have to go through five Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Baron Corbin matches over a month on SmackDown to get to this point. Total lack of creativity.
