SETUP Thailand Pro Wrestling has unveiled a new title belt: their own version of WWE's 24/7 Championship.
On Facebook, the promotion explained that the SETUP 24/7 Championship was created to bring happiness to fans who are missing wrestling shows. At the same time, it will act as a link between SETUP, the media, and international partners.
The championship rules are similar to WWE's, but with a twist: "The Champion must defend the belt at any [time] and in any place. Furthermore, the champion does not have to be human. It could be anything, including an object, animals, or anything else you can think of."
As for the belt, the strap is made from red leather, and the center is gold-plated with a touch of red and yellow.
There's still no news on when the first SETUP 24/7 Championship match will be, but we're willing to guess that it will soon be uploaded on SETUP's social media platforms.
SETUP was established in November 2019, just days after the closure of Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling Thailand. They are one of the very few Southeast Asian promotions that have been able to hold live wrestling shows during the pandemic, including one on a ferry. Apart from that, they've also held no-crowd online events that local and international fans could enjoy.
Earlier this year, SETUP announced that the Philippines' #PWOGs, Jake De Leon and Ken Warren, joined their roster on a short-term contract. This will allow them to wrestle in Thailand as soon as the pandemic is over. The promotion is also allowed to extend their contract until then.
