The Grapevine (4/26/21): More Notes On WWE Releases, Why Mansoor Has A Winning Streak

    Kalisto on WWE RAW

Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the important founded and unfounded rumors floating around the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the past few days. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!

More details about some WWE releases

Kalisto had expressed his unhappiness over his spot on the roster. He reportedly did not like being part of Lucha House Party and wanted to have a singles career; officials split him from the group but did not give him a singles push. One other unnamed Superstar had expressed their unhappiness about not being part of WrestleMania. (Source: WON)

We say: Well, this just proves that there are people who would be happier being in more prominent spots in other companies—and that WWE's Creative team (including Vince McMahon) finds it really hard to find spots for other people. We could've found spots for people like Kalisto and Peyton Royce on the shows; they just chose not to.

Mansoor's winning streak good for Saudi Arabia business

Mansoor's current winning streak is reportedly to appease officials in Saudi Arabia and the market in the country. However, this streak is mostly on Main Event and 205 Live, and there is no attempt to push Mansoor on any of the main shows, including NXT. WWE is rumored to be planning a return to Saudi Arabia later this year. (Source: WON)

We say: Seems more like an easy educated guess for any astute observer to make, though the part about WWE planning to come back to Saudi this year is news.
