The Grapevine (4/23/21): Mark Carrano Fired From WWE Over Mickie James Incident, Charlotte Flair Taking Time Off

    Mark Carrano

Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the important founded and unfounded rumors floating around the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the past few days. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!

    Mark Carrano fired from WWE

WWE Co-Head of Talent Relations Mark Carrano was fired from WWE after Mickie James posted an image of her belongings being sent back to her in a trash bag. His firing was directly related to the incident, but his time was apparently coming to an end after John Laurinaitis was brought back to work alongside him as a head of the department. We say: We're not entirely sure that this firing is considered justice served, as even though the heads of the department may have been negligent in letting their people send back belongings in a trash bag, Carrano may just have been a scapegoat for someone else. Seems like it was a convenient way to get rid of Carrano like they always planned.

Charlotte Flair taking time off again

Charlotte Flair's onscreen indefinite suspension is apparently a way to write her off TV again. She is reportedly set to go for some dental surgery, and there's no timetable for her return. (Source: Alex McCarthy, Wrestling Observer Radio)

We say: Seems like it's an important procedure she needs to have done, if it can't wait.
