WWE planning SummerSlam with live crowd
Reports are saying that WWE is planning to hold this year's SummerSlam with a live crowd. The company hopes that this has a better chance of succeeding thanks to the US government's quick vaccine rollout. However, there is no final date and location for the event. WWE President Nick Khan has stated that they are looking to resume touring full-time as soon as possible. (Source: Sports Illustrated)
We say: Honestly, it's looking more likely with four months away, as they'll probably manage to vaccinate a huge number of Americans by that time.
Chelsea Green reveals nixed plans for girl group
Chelsea Green, Vanessa Borne, and Santana Garrett were initially pitched to be in a stable. The group would have been something akin to Charlie's Angels, but obviously did not take off. Green was part of the WWE releases last April 15, while Vanessa Borne and Santana Garrett have apparently been called up to the main roster, although they haven't been used at all. (Source: Fightful)
We say: What a huge missed opportunity to add some depth to the women's divisions on the main roster, but of course Vince McMahon doesn't maximize his people.
