#FinisherFriday (10/09/20): Tag Finishers That Could Have Been Done With One Guy—Inverted Magic Killer

Disclaimer: The point of this article is not to degrade any wrestling team's finisher in any way, but to objectively point out any advantages and disadvantages of the said finishers from a one-man version of it.

Welcome to another edition of #FinisherFriday! The "TFTCHBDWOG" series is still going strong, going into its 15th straight week! If you haven't caught up with the previous articles, you can read them here. Today, we take a look at an old school tag team's finisher.

A staple of promotions such as Over The Top Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Ulster, and TNT Extreme Wrestling (in which they are the current tag team champions), Damien Corvin and Bonesaw have mercilessly wrestled their way to the top of the Irish and England tag team division, taking down many aspiring teams in the process. With their vicious moveset and tag team maneuvers, it is only apt that they have taken the name The Kings of the North.

One of their finishers is an interesting variation of the renowned Magic Killer, in which the opponent is placed in an inverted DDT position:

Quite refreshing for the eyes, I might say.

If you were to remove the second guy from the equation, then you're left with Cody Rhodes' finisher, the Cross Rhodes...

...but it doesn't really fit the description, since we're looking for a rolling cutter with the opponent's legs elevated.

Good thing I found some footage of Nicole Matthews doing a rope-hung rolling cutter, which answers the article's question.

Final verdict: It can be done by one guy (or a girl). The one-man version doesn't exactly deal the same amount of damage as the two-man version, but this article's point is all about the execution.

And there you have it chaps, part 14 of "Tag Finishers That Could Have Been Done With One Guy!" Do you have suggestions on what tag finisher to cover next? Let us know in the comments section below!
