#FinisherFriday: Tag Finishers That Could Have Been Done With One Guy—The Bleach Job

Disclaimer: The point of this article is not to degrade any wrestling team's finisher in any way, but to objectively point out any advantages and disadvantages of the said finishers from a one-man version of it.

Welcome to another edition of #FinisherFriday! Thanks to you chaps, the "TFTCHBDWOG" series has been going sort of strong, and is now on its 14th week! If you haven't caught up with the previous articles, you can read them here. Today, we take a look at an old school tag team's finisher.

The Dirty Blondes have made a name for themselves by brawling their way through the American indies, ultimately landing in Major League Wrestling's tag team division. There's not a lot of documented information about either Leo Brien or Michael Patrick (aside from the fact that they are currently managed by the legendary Colonel Robert Parker), but what I can infer is that they are a team that embraced the old school offense while fighting for survival in the modern era of wrestling. Take a look at some of their offense, and you'll soon understand what I mean:

Their finisher goes by the name of "The Bleach Job," and from here it's pretty obvious as to what the one-man version is:

Yup, it's a two-man version of Hardcore Holly's Alabama Slam, which by itself looks as equally dangerous as its assisted variation:

It doesn't look as flashy as The North's finisher, The Northern Assault...

...but right off the bat, you can tell that it doesn't lag behind in terms of damage.

Since both of the guys do the slamming, the force generated is twice more than the one-man version. Furthermore, the difference in physical strength between Brien and Patrick sometimes results in an "uneven" slam, which actually causes more damage (impact concentrated on a small area) than if an opponent is slammed entirely flat on his back (impact distributed equally throughout the back's surface area).

Final verdict: It can be done by one guy, but only The Dirty Blondes could give it enough oomph and flavor to make you miss old school wrestling again.

And there you have it chaps, part 14 of "Tag Finishers That Could Have Been Done With One Guy!" Do you have suggestions on what tag finisher to cover next? Let us know in the comments section below!
