Take Two: Will The Wrestling Queen of Asia Please Stand Up?

    by KP

Last month, Philippine Wrestling Revolution's Crystal and Singapore Pro Wrestling’s "Lion City Hit Girl" Alexis Lee were on the verge of finding out who the true Queen of Asia was when “The Queen of Scream” Kasey entered the fray, decimated both women, and stole the belt.

The stunt didn’t escape the notice of SPW, and after a month of waiting, the promotion finally announced a rematch for the Queen of Asia championship between Crystal and Lee—but this time, with the added bonus of the interloper, Kasey.

Aside from finding out who the real queen is between them, their match at Wrestle the Odds III on December 9 will give Crystal and Lee the chance to get their revenge on Kasey and set the stage for their 2018.

Lee will see this as an opportunity to strap a title around her waist once more after recently dropping the AAW Women's Championship in controversial fashion.

Crystal has already taken the moniker as her own even without officially winning the title—no one present during her match against Martivo at PWR Vendetta 2017 can deny her war call of “I’m the Queen of Asia, bitch!"

If she actually earns the title, Crystal stands to not only become a notable figure in the ASEAN wrestling circuit but possibly the first PWR talent to make it beyond this region. With Lee being a major player in Australia, it’s not an exaggeration to say that Crystal’s triumph over an Australian-based promotion’s former champion can bring her beyond the ten countries of ASEAN. If she brings a weapon or two with her, as she had post-match against Martivo and Robynn, maybe Crystal can even become more of the evil queen she’s slowly turning into, as seen in her episode on ANC’s Mukha, coming out on Wednesday at 6:30 PM and Friday at 2 PM on DZMM TeleRadyo.

Other than continuing her reign of terror, Kasey stands to gain rightful claim over the title she stole if she triumphs—and a hell of a lot more traction at the Independent Wrestling Federation if she returns home to Russia with the belt.

Do you think the Philippines will be home to the first-ever Queen of Asia, or will another twist wrangle this victory away from Crystal? Singapore Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle The Odds III will take place at the Tampines Changkat Community Centre at 13 Tampines Street 11, Singapore on December 9.

Tickets are available online at $30 and $45. Gates open at 6:00 PM.
