The Grapevine (3/10/17): YES? YES? YES?

Good morning, and this is your daily Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the founded and unfounded rumors abound the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the evening.

There might be something more to Daniel Bryan's offhand comment on this week's Talking Smack:

    • Daniel Bryan teased returning to wrestling when his WWE contract expires next year. One of Bryan's current goals is wrestling at CMLL's anniversary show, Fantasticamania, in a hair vs. hair match, which he still feels is possible considering he was merely forced to retire by Vince McMahon last year and WWE wouldn't let him wrestle since. He feels fine, all of the doctors he saw cleared him to compete, and the one test that stopped him from competing apparently shouldn't have done so, the more he learns about it. He also apparently is thinking of a new, modified in-ring style that won't see him taking as many risks in the ring. (Source: WON)

We say: YES. YES. YES. If this means the return of Catch Wrestler Bryan Danielson (you know, the guy he pretty much was in the indies) then we're all for it. He'll stick out like a sore thumb (in a good way) at CMLL if he does this.

    • Kairi Hojo from Stardom signed a contract with WWE. Shinsuke Nakamura convinced her to join the company, but she apparently left Stardom in sour terms after she said she was going to stay with the company in light of an offer made by WWE before. Hojo was last seen by American audiences in Lucha Underground as part of Black Lotus's associates. (Source: F4WOnline)

We say: This is a huge coup for the women's division, especially on NXT. They're going to need another capable hand to join Asuka, Nikki Cross, and Ember Moon as they're rebuilding the division.

Let us know what you think of today's news in the comments!
