What Are We Supposed To Feel About 205 Live?

Last night local time, WWE made a surprise announcement: they'll be adding a new hour of wrestling on the WWE Network dedicated solely to the Cruiserweight division on RAW. Called 205 Live (a reference to the division's maximum weight limit of 205 lbs., it's going to start airing on Tuesday, November 29.

It's all a bit unclear right now with regard to schedule, but from the looks of it, it's a show that's possibly aired live (hence the name) after SmackDown. Talking Smack will be moved to 11 PM, one hour after 205 Live.

But how do we really feel about this, considering that Triple H is trying to give the Cruiserweights a better chance?

Ro says: I don't like this, but only because I still want to fight for some damn accountability on Monday Night RAW. Getting the Cruiserweights their own show on the Network where Triple H can control how they're booked and presented sounds like a nifty deal for the workhorses, but in reality, the message it's sending is that no one can fix RAW. They'd rather just move half the roster out, like they did for SmackDown.

Don't get me wrong, though—this is definitely not to say that I won't be watching the show. Of course I will, because I expect to put in more emotional investment on it than I will RAW or even SmackDown. I just wish that they fought harder for a little more political will on what's considered the flagship show of WWE, instead of giving up and moving out of the neighborhood.

Stan says: I'm just about done with the Cruiserweight division as RAW's purple-haired stepchild. If having 205 Live means we get a show solely dedicated to the Cruiserweights—and them having either meaningful storylines, or power rankings, or both—then I will resolve to not bitch about having one more hour of wrestling to watch for the first month.

Plus, Graves and Mauro TOGETHER on commentary is a dream come true for me. I can't wait to see/hear them call the action.

Supporting 205 Live is as subversive as you can get with regard to supporting Vince McMahon's WWE while sticking to that umbrella.

Let us know what you think about 205 Live! Is it a good idea, or are you groaning at the thought of spending another hour on WWE programming?
