PWR Live: Suplex Sunday is coming in a few days' time, and no group is probably more exicted to take advantage of this special day than The Network, who are collectively going to be quite busy throughout the show. And man, are they going to be busy all day long this Sunday at the Unilab Bayanihan Center.
State of the Network Address
With so many things happening to the green-colored faction in recent months, it was inevitable that many of these have to be addressed in a public setting sooner rather than later. Thus, James "Idol" Martinez, alongside "The Golden Boy" Chino Guinto and their mysterious new downline are going to have their first-ever State of the Network Address (or SONA) to address all the various concerns that have much to do with the faction and what it holds for the future.
What exactly might be the topics to be brought up though? Hopefully, these would include the following:
- Who is this new downline who helped Idol out at Renaissance against Ralph Imabayashi?
- How is Chino feeling after losing his number one contender's match for the PHX Championship?
- What happened to "Big Bank" Bruno Bernardo and "The Machine" Mavericc Knight?
- What does Idol have to say about his recent win over Ralph Imabayashi?
- Does Idol have any championship aspirations in the future after wins over former PWR Champions in both Jake De Leon and Imabayashi?
- What ever happened to the #PoWeR Power Drink? Or, for that matter, King Kong Kangkong?
- What does Chino think of being consider the biggest douchebag in PWR today?
- Are we expecting more downlines soon?
- Why are they pre-show bullies? Bullying is bad.
One thing is for sure, no one is going to be surprised if they end up ruffling a few feathers along the way. And speaking of ruffling some feathers...
Gold vs. Heart
The Grasp of Guinto
Yet with all that momentum, it all came crashing down when it mattered the most when SANDATA finally beat Chino at Renaissance via KO for a future shot at the PHX Championship. Now, Chino is going to have to get back in the grind and get some more Gold Diggers in if he ever wants another title opportunity. To do that, he's going to have to beat another guy who, for all intents and purposes, is in a worse position than him.
Panzer: Broken But Not Beaten?
And while his string of big time losses would bring down any other man, it has never deterred Panzer from getting back on the winning track. And to get back into any form of title discussion, the PWR Original will have to overcome a man who is in almost a similar position to him.
Our Prediction
This bout will be a test of athletic prowess between two of PWR's most gifted pros, which promises to be a competitive battle with potential championship consequences. While we do have to credit Chino's rise in PWR, his viciousness being a notable factor, we also have to consider Panzer's frustrations after having lost so many major battles in the span of many months, be it for championships or a match with someone else's career on the line. And unlike Chino, Panzer bled for what he believed in.
In the end, you really have to give this match to Panzer, who is surely going to make use of his frustrations and anger in dishing out some damage to The Golden Boy. With so many downs that Panzer experienced, we expect this to be the start of his road to redemption and use all his past experiences to fuel his path to the top prize. And when you consider what Panzer has gone through as compared to Chino's, what else is there for Panzer to lose? A pissed-off Panzer is not a Panzer anyone wants to deal with right now.
Winner: Chris Panzer via pinfall
