The Grapevine (10/19/16): He's Comin' To Getcha

Good morning, and this is your daily Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the founded and unfounded rumors abound the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the evening.

We have some important news about old people:

    • Is the Boogeyman coming back to the WWE? Indie promoters have been trying to book the former WWE Superstar for December and January, but they keep getting told that he's no longer available as he's allegedly about to return to the company. It's possible as the WWE is always trying to contact former stars to help stock the roster in the brand split, but nothing is confirmed yet. (Source: WrestlingInc)

We say: What fascination does WWE have with old wrestlers? Goldberg is 49, Marty Wright is 52. At the very least, no one's booking the Boogeyman to work five-star matches with AJ Styles.

    • Undertaker may have had surgery. He was photographed recently with crutches, and it might have been because he went under the knife to fix an issue with his hip. He was seen as recently as the first week of September without them, though. (Source: PWInsider)

We say: We wonder whether this makes him finally done with the company. There's only so many times Undertaker needs to get fixed before finally retiring; even Kobe had to give it up.

    • TNA is being sued by yet another creditor. American Express Travel is suing them for unpaid expenses totaling over $250,000, and according to their contract, they'd also have to pay court costs if it had to come to that. (Source: F4WOnline)

We say: Sound the death bells. There's no way anyone's going to want to take this on.

Let us know what you think of today's news in the comments!
