    The Grapevine (4/22/16): Chyna Grove

Good morning, and welcome to the daily Grapevine! Here is where we round up all the rumors, hearsay and tidbits of news from the wild world of professional wrestling that you may have missed over the evening.

The entire wrestling world was rocked yesterday with the news of Chyna's passing:

    • Chyna's death could possibly have been due to an overdose. According to Dave Meltzer, some of Chyna's friends have been planning to hold an intervention for her. (Source: Wrestling Observer Radio)

We say: A lot of people have spoken about some form of grief or another when it comes to Chyna, but our best suggestion is to honor her memory by helping out a friend in dire need whenever and wherever you can. Mental illness is a real thing, folks, and more and more people either are starting to have these issues, or are just coming out of the woods about them.

    • In some good news, Bray Wyatt's injury isn't as bad as feared. It seems as though it's just a pulled muscle in his calf, which puts him out only for four to six weeks. He could be back for Extreme Rules next month. He injured his calf last week at the live event in Milan, Italy. (Source: WON)

We say: Well, thank God the curse isn't as real as we thought. That's not too much time to sap him of whatever momentum he gained during that main event with Roman Reigns.

    • Will Ospreay has been offered a New Japan contract after only one match with them. WWE might be in talks to offer him a deal as well, but NJPW would be a sweeter on deal on paper as it would allow him to make more money and stay in the UK, whereas WWE would pay him less and make him move to Florida, but give him the coveted status of being a WWE wrestler. (Source: WON)

We say: If you haven't seen Ospreay do his thing yet, then you're missing out. There's a clear reason why New Japan offered him a deal after only one show (well, partly because they don't want WWE to grab stars while they can).
