The Grapevine (4/11/16): Bang Bang Into The Room

Good morning, and welcome to the daily Grapevine! Here is where we round up all the rumors, hearsay and tidbits of news from the wild world of professional wrestling that you may have missed over the weekend.

There's only one big news dominating weekend wrestling talk:

    • After last night's Invasion Attack, it seems that Ricochet is a lock to go to WWE. He and Matt Sydal dropped the IWGP Junior Tag Team Championships to Roppongi Vice at the event, solidifying existing rumors that he was going to the company. Apparently, Ricochet is able to exit his seven-year Lucha Underground contract after the end of this month's season three tapings—which may see him written off the show—and he is no longer available for any other bookings after June. It might not be immediate, as the LU deal has a six-month non-compete clause for TV, but sources claim that he will end up in WWE sooner or later. Dave Meltzer is teasing a huge Lucha Underground story coming out soon that may or may not address these rumors. (Source: WON)

We say: This is huge for all parties involved. While the prospect of Ricochet coming to the WWE is definitely exciting, it's also a little sad for LU fans who accepted Prince Puma as the homegrown face of the franchise. It's a shame that he didn't end up being the centerpiece he was promised to be, and the show's going to lose some of its soul when he's gone.

    • Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson are scheduled to be at tomorrow's RAW. There's no word on whether they'll finally debut, but it's said that they are to travel to Los Angeles for Monday night's show at the Staples Center. It seems as though they're standing by, at the least, as they were backstage during last week's RAW and SmackDown. (Source: F4WOnline)

We say: So... what exactly are they waiting for with these two? Perfect weather conditions? At this point, however, it's starting to look more and more like they'll be debuting with AJ Styles, not Finn Balor.

    • Bobby Roode has apparently not signed a WWE contract yet. Roode told The Examiner as much, saying that he "[doesn't] want to jinx anything." A source did say that he signed something 10 days before WrestleMania, but it's possible that he just agreed to terms verbally at that time. (Source: The Examiner)

We say: Sounds like they're just waiting for formalities, but the signing is good as gold anyway.

What do you think? Do you want to see Ricochet in the WWE, or do you want Prince Puma to stay in LU? When are the Bullet Club debuting? Let us know what you think in the comments!
