The Grapevine (3/24/16): Where Is Bryan?

Good morning, and welcome to the daily Grapevine! Here is where we round up all the rumors, hearsay and tidbits of news from the wild world of professional wrestling that you may have missed over the evening.

We have some intriguing bits about Daniel Bryan:

    • Daniel Bryan's next few appearances have all been cancelled. Although the original reason for this was that Bryan apparently asked for some time off, Dave Meltzer believes that there is a bigger story behind it, as even people within WWE are reportedly asking him about it. One source claims that he would rather not be the one to say the reason. (Source: F4WOnline)

We say: Seems like way too much doom and gloom here, even if it's just in the telling of the story. It's highly possible that Bryan asked for time off due to some pressing personal reason, and whatever it is, we should just respect it until the truth comes out on its own.

    • Former NXT team the Legionnaires, Marcus Louis and Sylvester Lefort, have reportedly signed with TNA. The company has reportedly signed five new talents in the wake of Bobby Roode and Eric Young's departure, including popular female wrestler Cherry Bomb. The former Legionnaires will be debuting soon, but did not wrestle at the latest set of tapings. (Source: PWInsider)

We say: This would be a great time for a "man, TNA is really desperate for talent" joke, but... it's true. With one half of Beer Money gone, one half of Bram and Eric Young gone, the Dudleys gone, one half of the Wolves injured, both Hardys playing in the main event scene, the only active tag teams in TNA right now are Decay and friggin' Bro-Mans. This isn't a free agent pickup that'll light the company on fire, but it certainly goes a long way. They should consider signing at least one more team and convert two upper midcarders into a tag team to keep the division going.

What do you think? What's your opinion on the reason behind Daniel Bryan's appearances getting pulled? Let us know what you think in the comments!
