The Grapevine (2/10/16): Thank You, Daniel Bryan

Good morning everyone, and welcome to the daily Grapevine! This is our daily post rounding up all the interesting rumors from the wild, wild world of pro wrestling that you may have missed over the evening.

Just a little backgrounder on Daniel Bryan's retirement, plus huge news of that NXT team you want to see on RAW:

    • The news of Bryan's retirement was, up until he made the announcement, kept between him and higher-ups in the WWE. Production had to cram all the video packages they came out with in the afternoon before RAW aired. About the new round of tests he took, he took them  in New York City, not Pittsburgh, the Thursday before Royal Rumble. The mood backstage on RAW was said to be very somber. (Source: PWInsider)

We say: Talk about dropping a bomb on all of us. We're sad that he has to do this, but we're also kind of happy that at least, it was his own decision and he was able to come to terms with it. Godspeed, Bryan.

    • It's looking like the Realest Guys in the Room—Enzo Amore, Big Cass, and Carmella—will be headed to the main roster very soon. The team has been backstage at live events the past week, and apparently the plan to call them up is currently being finalized. It's just not confirmed whether they'll be debuting before or after WrestleMania (when most main roster call-ups are done). It's also worth mentioning that they will most likely be debuting without having an NXT Tag Team Championship reign. (Source: WrestlingInc)

We say: We're not entirely sure about the wisdom of this call-up, but the main roster tag scene is a little depleted. If that's the case, we certainly don't mind them debuting before WrestleMania, while the tag division is currently being realigned. With the heel Dudleys, the Social Outcasts, Golden Truth, the restored Lucha Dragons, the Ascension, and of course, the New Day, it certainly wouldn't hurt to galvanize the division heading into the PPV.

What do you think? Are you excited to see Enzo and Cass on RAW? Let us know what you think in the comments!
