Welcome to another edition of #FinisherFriday! This is Wreddit_Regal bringing you a short review of our favorite PowerPoint presentation buddy.
We might get the shits and giggles every time we hear the words "NO FLY ZONE," "Better 205," and "PowerPoint presentation!" from this dude, but Drew Gulak is just staying true to his character, which didn't change a bit over the years. He thrived in the warzone known as CZW, recognized the long-term effects caused by the normalized ultraviolence in the promotion, and actively tried to protest against it using his presentations in the ring. This eventually evolved into a "campaign for a better CZW," advocating for women's rights in wrestling and better management of the promotion's finances.
His vision for a better working environment didn't change, even when he moved from CZW into the WWE's cruiserweight division. He immediately started his campaign for a "better 205 Live", giving proposals like "NO FLY ZONE", "NO CHANTS", which were all shown to us via his glorious PowerPoint presentations.
As a cruiserweight, Gulak breaks all of those stereotypes commonly associated with the weight class. For one, he strikes like a heavyweight:
Slams people like it's their retirement match:
And catches people like they have an appointment with a chiropractor the day after:
His finisher in particular, a Dragon sleeper which he calls the Gu-Lock, tops his collection of match-ending submissions:

Look at Gulak trying to pop Tony Nese's head off like a wine bottle cork |
Using my Regal Rating, I would give this finisher a:
10/10 for aesthetics. Compared to other wrestlers who use the same finisher (I'm looking at you, SANADA), Gulak actually tries to not half-ass the submission by stretching the opponent's back, and putting his arm under the opponent's chin to complete the hold.
10/10 for damage. Despite being given the name "sleeper," it doesn't actually put opponents to sleep. As discussed in our previous article, the Dragon sleeper works by hyperextending the opponent's neck to a very uncomfortable degree. Thus, it is technically classified as a neck crank—and one that can guarantee a fast tapout once you secure the hold.

And that's it chaps, my short review of Drew Gulak's Gu-Lock! Do you think our PowerPoint dude would thrive in WWE's blue brand? Let us know in the comment section below!
