The Grapevine (4/8/22): Backstage News On Nash Carter's WWE Release, RAW Superstars Appearing On SmackDown

    MSK

Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the important founded and unfounded rumors floating around the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the past few days. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!

Nash Carter released for Hitler photo

Former NXT Tag Team Champion Nash Carter was released from WWE yesterday because of the photo in which he imitated Adolf Hitler, revealed by wife Kimber Lee. WWE higher-ups reportedly did not believe Lee's allegations of domestic abuse, and many people in NXT are said to be on Carter's side. As a result, Imperium, who was rumored to be called up to the main roster soon, may be staying in NXT as MSK is no more. (Source: Wrestling Observer Live)

We say: This entire situation is a huge mess, and a lot of the negative fallout could have been avoided had the creative in NXT chosen to not put the NXT Tag Team Championship on MSK at Stand & Deliver

RAW stars appearing on this week's SmackDown

RAW stars Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, and Lacey Evans are set to be at today's SmackDown. It's unclear what the plans are for these RAW stars and whether they will end up appearing on the broadcast, but they will at least be backstage. (Source: PWInsider)

We say: As far as Cody and Seth are concerned, they might be setting up the next contenders and story for Roman Reigns's Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
