The Grapevine (4/20/22): Details On Bray Wyatt, WWE Interested In Signing FTR Again

Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the important founded and unfounded rumors floating around the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the past few days. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!

Bray Wyatt's asking price is reportedly high

Former WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt's asking price for a new deal—whether it's for a return to WWE or signing with AEW—is reportedly "very high." There were rumors last year about Wyatt possibly signing with AEW, but nothing came of those. Wyatt is apparently not rushing to return to the ring just yet, but has not ruled wrestling out. We say: It sounds silly, but it makes sense—you're not just getting a wrestler, but you're also getting a highly driven creative mind. With pro wrestling's history of underpaying guys, we're all for Bray getting his bag.

    WWE interested in signing FTR

WWE is reportedly interested in signing Triple Crown Tag Team Champions FTR when their AEW contracts expire later this year. However, their deals still have an option for another year that AEW can pick up should the company want. The team has not ruled out a return to WWE, which they had wanted to leave due to creative differences, for the right money and circumstances. (Source: Fightful Select)

We say: FTR did make huge waves upon leaving WWE, and this may be another Cody Rhodes situation—but the future isn't as rosy for a tag team, considering Vince McMahon doesn't think too highly of tag team wrestling. FTR should stay in AEW.
