Backstage belief that Johnny Gargano and Kyle O'Reilly will come back to WWE
People in NXT apparently think Johnny Gargano and Kyle O'Reilly will eventually return to WWE. The feeling is both stars, whose contracts have expired, are simply taking time off from the ring. The angles from last week's NXT, in which Gargano was attacked by Grayson Waller and O'Reilly lost to Von Wagner in a steel cage match, were done to give them a possible storyline should they come back. We say: This is a brave move for WWE, and actually a pretty forward-thinking one whether or not they come back. If they do, there's a story waiting for them. If they don't, at least Wagner and Waller get heat for attacking beloved stars.
Update on Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns was absent on this past SmackDown as he was taking a vacation. WWE knew about the vacation leave months prior. He will be back at this week's episode from Chicago. (Source: Ringside News)
