The Grapevine (11/3/21): Even More News About Bray Wyatt's Release, Brock Lesnar's Possible Next Opponent

    Bray Wyatt

Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the important founded and unfounded rumors floating around the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the past few days. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!

More news surrounding Bray Wyatt's release

Vince McMahon apparently no longer liked Bray Wyatt after the latter had been speaking up against his creative direction. McMahon reportedly felt that he was too "outspoken" about creative plans. There was no clear payoff for his last storyline with Randy Orton and people backstage had felt that Orton and Wyatt were not being treated properly in the storyline. (Source: Fightful Select)

We say: This is a little weird, especially after hearing stories that Vince would reward people for speaking up. If this is indeed true, it does feel like WWE is more and more a bad place to work, especially if your character relies on a lot of creativity like Wyatt's.

News on Brock Lesnar's possible next opponent

Drew McIntyre will apparently be Brock Lesnar's next opponent, if the former's use of the Kimura last Friday on SmackDown is any indication. McIntyre was Lesnar's last opponent before leaving WWE last year and returning to face Roman Reigns this year. (Source: Dave Meltzer)

We say: It looks like pure speculation on Uncle Dave's part more than anything right now. In any case, there's no timetable yet for this match, though if it is pushing through it will likely be for Royal Rumble.
