WWE Signs Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson To Exclusive Agreement

    Gable Steveson and Tamyra Mensah-Stock

WWE has another Olympic gold medalist on their roster as it officially signs Tokyo 2020 winner and NCAA Champion Gable Steveson to a NIL marketing deal, the company's very first agreement of its kind.

The NIL marketing deal is a new type of contract that NCAA athletes in the US can enter, allowing them to capitalize on their likeness and status while still retaining NCAA eligibility. This basically means that Steveson is now a part of the WWE roster and will begin training as a pro wrestler while still wrestling for the University of Minnesota.

Steveson has claimed in the past that wrestling for the WWE had been a dream of his since childhood, and he had previously signed an NIL deal with MMA manager Dave Martin before choosing to pursue pro wrestling after the recently concluded 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

We can't wait to see what the super-heavyweight wrestler will bring to the WWE ring, as the future ahead of him is very bright. (This also means that Chad Gable will eventually have to change his name, being the less popular Gable, but we'll cross the bridge when we get there.)
