The Grapevine (5/12/21): Jinder Mahal Planned For Big Program, Jeff Hardy Note, WWE Considering MSG For SummerSlam

    Jinder Mahal on WWE RAW

Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the important founded and unfounded rumors floating around the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the past few days. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!

Jinder Mahal in line for big push, Jeff Hardy note

Jinder Mahal is reportedly planned for a big program with former stablemate Drew McIntyre this summer. Mahal returned to RAW this week, defeating Jeff Hardy in a quick match.

Meanwhile, there has been speculation that Hardy is being buried because his contract is almost up. This is false, as he recently re-signed with WWE, and is slated to get his "No More Words" theme back eventually. His string of bad luck is a result of RAW Creative currently rotating superstars in the spotlight. (Source: WrestlingNews.co)

We say: The Jinder push makes sense, and the Hardy push also makes sense. We know of a few fans who want Hardy to have a more prominent role considering his status, but this at least takes it easy on his body.

WWE considering Madison Square Garden for SummerSlam

While it's far from confirmed, WWE is reportedly considering Madison Square Garden for this year's SummerSlam. This year's show will have fans again after live audiences returned for WrestleMania 37. (Source: Wrestling Observer Radio)

We say: It's definitely something, and it's been a while since WWE ran a big show at MSG.
