It's been almost a year since the Philippines had pro-wrestling shows thanks to the 'Rona. But this year, World Underground Wrestling (WUW) Philippines is bringing it back with a virtual event called Jarhead vs. The Machine.
According to WUW's Facebook page, it will be an empty arena show—the first in the local wrestling scene—that will be streamed on Facebook in the latter half of 2021. The match card currently includes boxer Sonny Gonzalez vs. SJM in a Mixed-Style Special Rules Match and the main event features John "Jarhead" Amar vs. former PWR and AOWW wrestler The Machine in a WUW Rules match.
More matches, stipulations, championship news, and updates on WUW's future will be addressed in a virtual press conference happening later this month.

WUW is the official third Philippine wrestling promotion alongside Philippine Wrestling Revolution (PWR) and Manila Wrestling Federation (MWF). They launched in 2019 and are directly associated with the World Wrestling Underground brand that was originally established in Austria.
Jarhead vs. The Machine will be their fourth major show. If you want to catch up on WUW's shows and find out more about the promotion, their 2019 matches featuring WUW talent, as well as guest wrestlers like SPW's Alexis Lee and FMW's Ricky Fuji, are up on their YouTube channel.
