Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the important founded and unfounded rumors floating around the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the past few days. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!
Taya Valkyrie done with Impact Wrestling
Former Impact Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie is officially done with the company. Her original deal from around 2018 added a third year and is now expired. She was not present at this week's Impact! tapings and was written off on this week's episode. It is unknown where she will head next or whether she will join husband John Morrison in WWE. We say: Any promotion would be lucky to have her, but she'll likely be better used in AEW. Best wishes, Taya.
Drew McIntyre's status
WWE is hoping WWE Champion Drew McIntyre gets cleared in time for the Superstar Spectacle taping on Thursday or Friday, which he is apparently advertised for. McIntyre tested positive for COVID-19 sometime before the January 11 episode of RAW. (Source: PWInsider)
We say: While McIntyre is asymptomatic, getting him to finish his 10 to 14-day quarantine period before Thursday or Friday is a tall order. Just let the guy rest; Indian WWE fans love Roman Reigns more anyway.
