How long did AEW know about Brodie Lee's illness?
Brodie Lee was reportedly in "rough shape" and in the ICU two months ago. Very few people from AEW were told, and most didn't know as his wife Amanda Huber did not want many people to find out. Lee passed away from a non-COVID-19-related lung illness. (Source: Wrestling Observer Live)
We say: Rest in peace, Brodie. He doesn't have to suffer anymore, at least.
Why Pat McAfee is off TV
Pat McAfee is currently not appearing on NXT after TakeOver: WarGames 2020 because NXT Creative wants his appearances to be more special. There is no heat on McAfee—it seems they simply do not want to oversaturate him. (Source: Wrestling Observer Radio)
We say: While that does make sense from a business standpoint, Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan, and Danny Burch—all not known to be good talkers—needed his presence. They shouldn't go too long without him on the show.
