Compared to the great Christmas Day edition of SmackDown Live, Christmas 205 Live is just here. While there was a good main event, it doesn't give us the title shot Curt Stallion was promised yet.
Mansoor is a thing
The Christmas gift 205 Live fans apparently needed was more Mansoor, as the show reminds us that he's still a part of the cruiserweight division—and undefeated.
Honestly, though, Mansoor is great. He keeps getting better and better every time we see him, which must be a testament to his progression in the Performance Center. This makes me wonder: why aren't they pushing him more? Is this win against a Legado del Fantasma member in Raul Mendoza supposed to sow seeds for a future title shot?
Mansoor's been okay for a while now, so I don't get why it's taking them so long to make him more of a featured performer on the show. My guesses are either a small injury or reluctance because of his ethnicity, as Saudi Arabia is still not that beloved around the world. I don't know.
What I do know is that this better be the start of something new, as fans know 205 Live needs to rely on its new blood more than ever. It's looking solid, but they do need that breakout talent. Mansoor may just be that guy.
