#FinisherFriday (9/11/20): Tag Finishers That Could Have Been Done With One Guy—Superhero Finish!

Disclaimer: The point of this article is not to degrade any wrestling team's finisher in any way, but to objectively point out any advantages and disadvantages of the said finishers from a one-man version of it.

Welcome to another edition of #FinisherFriday! I didn't think I could make it past the 10th issue of the "TFTCHBDWOG" series, but here we are! If you haven't caught up with the previous articles, you can read them hereherehereherehereherehereherehere and here. Today we take a look at a former WWE tag team's "super" finisher.

Do you remember the good old days when The Hurricane took in an apprentice in the person of Rosey and called him the Super Hero In Training? I sure do. It was arguably one of the most feel-good and wholesome storylines of 2003, from the moment they teamed up until they rose to the top of the RAW tag team division.

As their characters would suggest, The Hurricane and Rosey employed a lot of flying action to their tag team maneuvers, which would make the children of 2003 wish that they were superheroes in training too (yeah, I was too young to have noticed that inside joke):

Their finisher consists of Rosey doing a side slam while Hurricane simultaneously does his finisher, the Eye of the Hurricane:

This one made me scratch my head for a while, and after a full week of thinking I still was stumped. To be honest, I remember that there were instances where The Hurricane did an elevated version of his finisher, but I could not find any video or GIF evidence to support my claim. Hence, I opted for the closest-looking finisher, which is none other than Hirooki Goto's GTW:

The kicker to this is that the GTW isn't even the NJPW veteran's finisher! His real finisher looks like he just straight up murders a person in the ring:

The inverted version looks sick, too:

For more info about Hirooki Goto's finisher, please read this article.

Final verdict: Yes it can be done by one guy, and when that guy does it, and do pray that the guy who does it isn't Hirooki Goto.

And there you have it chaps, part 11 of "Tag Finishers That Could Have Been Done With One Guy"! Do you have suggestions on what tag finisher to cover next? Let us know in the comment section below!
