    The Grapevine (7/29/20): Black Out

Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the founded and unfounded rumors abound the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!
    • Aleister Black was written off of TV for the time being on this week's RAW. There are no news yet on why Black is being written off or for how long the time out would be. (Source: Wrestling Observer Radio)
We say: Interesting that they're doing this especially when the pool of useable talent among RAW and SmackDown is already pretty low. Let's hope Aleister asked for this time off.
    • There have apparently been plans for a new Nation of Domination through MVP's new stable the Hurt Business. This is why Ron Simmons and Mark Henry have been used in recent weeks, although the plans have reportedly been put on hold as the company assesses whether the timing would be right for them. Some feel that given the current racial tensions in the United States, doing such an angle would be tone-deaf. (Source: Wrestling Inc)
We say: They certainly wouldn't be wrong about it being tone-deaf. Honestly, the company having a lot of POC champs right now, as well as letting talent speak out in their own way (like the New Day and Keith Lee) are already good steps in the right direction.
