    The Grapevine (7/13/20): COVID Day

Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the founded and unfounded rumors abound the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!
    • Miro has tested positive for COVID-19. This announcement, which he made on his Twitch stream, follows Lana's statement that both her parents have tested positive for the disease, but are currently recovering. There are no updates on the virus's effects on the former WWE Superstar.
We say: This is why it's important for the WWE (and by extension, AEW) to stop holding shows for the meantime. While it's not confirmed that Lana is a carrier, the virus can affect so many different people.
    • Charlotte Flair has confirmed that her time off from WWE has to do with complications arising from her breast implants. She had had silicone poisoning back in 2018 that forced her to miss a short amount of time, but did not fix the issue, which returned a few months ago. Her time off now is to make sure that she completely recovers. (Source: Twitter)
We say: Good for her for being able to choose a path that would allow her to rest as much as she can, and stay out of COVID's way as well.
    • Kenny Omega is reportedly supposed to be pushed as a singles star in AEW's second year. There had apparently been some criticism of the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion's status in the company, where he wasn't quite the top star fans were expecting. Omega has stated that he is doing what he can to help the company out. (Source: Wrestling Observer Radio)
We say: That makes sense, and at least they cashed in on his clout early in year one. There's always time to rebuild a star, and with AEW's solid cast, they don't seem to be in too much of a rush.
