The Grapevine (6/15/20): Another Broken Edge

Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the founded and unfounded rumors abound the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!
    • Edge was legitimately injured during his match with Randy Orton at Backlash. He suffered a torn right triceps when the match was taped back in June 7. There is no set timetable yet for his return, while a torn triceps will require eight months of recovery after surgery. (Source: Fightful, F4WOnline)
We say: That really sucks, especially after quite the comeback tour. We suppose the only good thing about it is that it could have been a lot worse, and at least Edge's current deal doesn't require him to be wrestling every week.
    • AJ Styles was traded to SmackDown last month following conflict with former RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman. Styles was furious after the release of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, whom he feels Heyman could have fought for with Vince McMahon, on top of generally not being happy on RAW and not getting along with Heyman. (Source: Dave Meltzer)
We say: That would make a whole lot of sense, and thankfully he's got a better history on the Blue Brand. He seems like he's being used right at the moment.
    • The tall ninja during the Street Profits/Viking Raiders segment was Performance Center recruit Jordan Omogbehin. Omogbehin is a former collegiate basketball player signed in October 2018. On a related note, it's unclear yet whether the ninja gang will be Akira Tozawa's new gimmick moving forward. (Source: Wrestling Inc)
We say: That dude is huge, but... a lot of things need to be said about that segment.
