    The Grapevine (2/24/20): WrestleMania Navigation

Welcome to the Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the founded and unfounded rumors abound the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the week. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt!

The plans for WrestleMania Pirates are still up in the air:
    • The rumored matches happening at WrestleMania have reportedly changed again. John Cena was said to be facing Elias at the event, but it may not be pushing through. Meanwhile, Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns set for the event may also be changing to Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg, and if that happens, Goldberg may win the title from him at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia this Friday (Manila time). (Source: Wrestling Observer Radio)
We say: That sounds like SmackDown at WrestleMania is going to be such a huge mess. We really just want Cena vs. Elias to change, but otherwise everything else seemed fine. Now we hope Goldberg really isn't winning that title in Saudi.
    • AEW President Tony Khan was reportedly the one who put together the Tag Team Battle Royal, along with some other talents. Khan also has quite a number of creative input on the show, such as Sammy Guevara's commercial break signs. Meanwhile, Raven being a part of the Dark Order is apparently just a red herring for the real Exalted One. (Source: Wrestling Inc)
We say: You mean... there's still a chance that Matt Hardy is the Exalted One??? Sign us up!
    • The random glitching on SmackDown broadcasts are now clearly intentional, and may be for reintroducing Mustafa Ali to the show. There are now images going along with the glitching, which look like Ali's "arc reactor" design on his gear. Ali had been working dark matches on the brand as of late. There is also speculation that it could be for Killer Kross, but it's unlikely as Kross is reportedly still going through NXT. (Source: Wrestling Inc)
We say: It's about time Ali got back on the show, as he'd been wasted for way too long.

Let us know what you think of this week's news in the comments!
