Extra! Extra! Read all about it because you will hear it here first: Newly-minted All Out War Champion Jan Evander will face his first major test: Mr. Ubusan ng Lahi himself, GrabCamus, at PWR Mabuhay ang Wrestling.
Yes, of course, you’re reading that right. Why the hell would I lie to you? GrabCamus will indeed receive his first-ever singles title shot in PWR at the first live event of 2020. He ended the calendar year by surviving Koponan Tutan and making everyone know that GrabCamus has arrived (pun definitely intended). Now, he’s looking to start the year right by trying to bring home the first singles title for the Naughty Boys, something Kapitan Tutan failed to do last year.
Meanwhile, Jan Evander also ended 2019 on a high note by winning the AOW Championship from the formidable Martivo. By fulfilling his promise to clean the championship from all the fluff, Evander just made the AOW title scene a lot more dangerous. And with the AB3-powered Endgame by his side, there’s no saying what the Smark Henry scholar is truly capable of. I’m hyped to see Jan Evander’s reign of terror in PWR’s first offering for 2020.
Not trying to be a GrabCamus hater over here, but I just find it weird that PWR chose to double-book someone when there are plenty of other guys in the back fighting for the spotlight. It’s like they can’t decide how to showcase their latest star so they went ahead with their two existing ideas instead of actually making a proper decision. Did we really need to see MTNH vs. CMSxCNV now? Why not give Camus the piece of the spotlight he deserves by focusing on just one match for the guy?
It doesn't really help that Trian dela Torre was supposedly the one who set this match up. It will probably make sense come January 26, but until that happens, this match will definitely be an eyebrow-raiser for me. But enough about me analyzing, this is a news article after all. I’m pretty sure Smark Henry won’t let me write exclusives anymore. So before they send me away, let me get your thoughts like a proper journalist does.
Who’s your pick for this match? Are you team #FingerSnap or #TeamShutUp? Do you think GrabCamus will win two matches in one night?
