The Good, The Bad, And The Queens: MWF Strikes Back With September Show

Do. Or do not. There is no try.

The upstart Manila Wrestling Federation looks to prove they're a tribe of doers and not just dreamers with their third show finally happening this September.

The company posted a Star Wars-themed teaser video on their official Facebook page announcing that on September 16, Saturday, MWF will be making its return to the Makati Square Arena with a card likely to be headlined by a battle that's been brewing all the way since its first show: CFO Gus Queens and his attack dog Rex Lawin squaring off once more against the popular throwback action hero Gigz Stryker.

There obviously isn't much to go on yet at this point—heck, we don't even know what the show is officially going to be called—but tickets will be available at the venue for the usual P250. Gates will open at 3 PM.

The war between Stryker and the Queens/Lawin tandem has been the company's biggest storyline from its inception, ever since Stryker rebuffed the advances of the company's "life coach" at its first show, eventually escalating into a massive roster-wide brawl at MWF Republika.

Both men have little momentum in their favor, however.

Stryker is coming off of a tough loss against Robin Sane in his last outing, falling to the high-flying daredevil's 450 Splash in the Republika main event, while Lawin himself is winless in his MWF career after consecutive losses to Stryker and Mr. Lucha in the company's first two shows.

We're curious what Stryker has to prove by agreeing to take on Lawin one more time, especially considering how decisive his first victory against him was after an out-of-nowhere Kalibre 3:16 crusher that easily knocked out the self-professed "Filipino Strong Style" practitioner for the three-count. Lawin claims to be dangerous, but apart from a couple of backstage ambushes on unsuspecting victims, we haven't yet seen enough to elevate his standing in our eyes.

And as for Gus Queens machinations? His agenda remains as cryptic as ever, so look for the company to bring a satisfying climax to this simmering feud.

What other matches are you looking forward to seeing, mga ka-smarkada? Let us know your thoughts, and we'll see you at the show!
