Puma Unveils WWE Money In The Bank Collab Sneakers

You may not ever be Mr. Money In The Bank, but that doesn't mean you can't have a million-dollar shoe game.

Sneakerheads may have raved over the wildly-popular Puma x WWE x Foot Locker WrestleMania 33 collab featuring a capsule of limited edition Puma Clydes decked out with custom Alexander John footbeds. But to be frank, the collection seemed rather tentative in its tribute, falling far behind the likes of other past Puma collabs with evidence of the partnership generally limited to the shoelaces and inserts.

We don't know about you, but we dig the new Money In The Bank release unveiled by WWE host Pete Rosenberg on Twitter yesterday.

It's impossible to go wrong with the classic Clyde silhouette that's been dubbed one of the most iconic sneakers of all time, but there's certainly nothing old school about the make of these kicks.

As if the perforated patent gold upper set on a standard white midsole wasn't gaudy enough, the shoes also feature a bespoke deubré fashioned after WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase's legendary Million Dollar Championship. Other smart details abound, such as dollar signs on the tongue, and a currency print decorating the footbed.

To sweeten the deal even more, each pair will come in its own Money In The Bank briefcase instead of the typical box.

That alone would be enough to justify the hefty $499 price tag for the truly hardcore fans out there of both the Puma brand or the WWE. That's not unreasonable, considering the similarly-priced Undertaker collab goes for as much as $650 on the aftermarket. Take note—buying the briefcase by itself would cost almost $80 at WWE Shop.

Don't expect to be able to cop a pair any time soon though; only 500 pairs will actually be produced, with release limited to select Foot Locker locations in the USA.

These hot kicks will be dropping on Saturday, June 17, just in time for the Money In The Bank show the next day.

With solid sneaker aficionados in the WWE like Shane McMahon, Kofi Kingston, or Enzo Amoré, we're pretty sure we'll be seeing glimpses of these bad boys in and around the ring this weekend.

What do you think of this latest collaboration between the WWE, Puma, and Foot Locker, fellow smarks? Do they bring the heat or are they too gimmicky for your tastes? Let us know—epecially if you get the chance to cop a pair for yourselves, you spoiled rich kids out there.
