Main Maxx may have failed to regain his PHX Championship from Peter Versoza at Path of Gold, but we're pretty sure he doesn't mind. The Philippine Wrestling Revolution has just announced that the 280-pound Big Rocket will be headlining PWR Live: Mainit with his first ever PWR Championship challenge. Most interestingly, it will be against a man who used to be his running mate, John Sebastian.
That this is going to be a great match is under no debate. But why Sebastian would accept a match against his former Royal Flush brother so close to Wrevolution X is a mystery to us, to be frank.
With Path of Gold winner Chris Panzer on a red-hot streak, the self-proclaimed "Wrestling Lord & Savior" should logically be in self-preservation mode, conserving his energy and nursing away any nagging injuries to put himself in the best shape of his life for their impending clash. We know he thinks he's the greatest Filipino wrestler who ever lived, but that was some real fear in his eyes when he saw Main Maxx cast a hungry stare at his gold.
Main Maxx is damn hungry, and John Sebastian won't like him when he's hungry. After 281 days as PHX Champion, we're pretty sure he hates this feeling of being gold-less for over a month now. Old friends or not, expect the Pride of Ilocos Norte to be a pure powder keg of offense as he tries to become the only man in history to have held both the PWR and PHX Championships.
Who do you think is coming out ahead, Revo-Nation? Will John Sebastian Killshot Maxx's face into oblivious, or do you think there's a Blitzkrieg Bomb with the champ's name on it? Let us know your thoughts and we'll see you at PWR Live: Mainit.
