Despite the Philippine Wrestling Wrestling Revolution's formal announcement last December that former PWR Champion Jake De Leon would be out of action indefinitely after suffering a concussion at the hands (and knee) of John Sebastian, the Bacolod-bred warrior has been medically cleared to compete at this January's PWR event.
That's right, Amigo Nation. Not only will JDL be making his return to a PWR ring, he'll be fighting to regain his lost championship at PWR Live: Bagong Yugto in Sebastian's first title defense.
This could be a historic night for De Leon. A victory over Sebastian would make him the first and only three-time champion in PWR's record books, and crown him the only man to both end a calendar year with a title loss but start the next year with a title win.
