Confirmed: Ken Warren Returning To PWR Action

[Editor's Note: We have been suitably chastised by the Great One himself for our factual errors, and amended the article to reflect that this will, in fact, be the fifth meeting between Ken Warren and Chris Panzer.]

The times may be changing, but some rivalries never will.

With the Philippine Wrestling Revolution turning over a new leaf with PWR Live: Bagong Yugto this January 29 at the iAcademy Auditorium in Salcedo Village, Makati, one of its most cherished rivalries reignites in a big way as Revo-Nation darling Chris Panzer is set to lock horns for a fourth fifth time with the returning Ken Warren.

This is the true #FightForever match-up of PWR, with Panzer owning a narrow 2-1 lead over the brash Social Media Sinister courtesy of his epic submission match victory over a year-and-a-half ago at Wrevolution X 2015.  the two warriors tied in a 2-2 deadlock, with Ken Warren having had the last laugh the most recent time they faced off.

Warren hasn't been seen in a PWR ring since walking out of his supposed match at last year's PWR Live: The ShawDown in disgust over being relegated to non-title matches. But now it looks like his cryptic teaser turned out to be true.

Don't think for one second that the self-proclaimed "Human Trending Topic" has been letting himself get soft. He's always been one of PWR's biggest gym rats; based on updates on his social media platforms, he's been hustling even harder in the gym, keeping himself in peak physical condition for the squared circle.

Chris Panzer had better watch out. We could be seeing an all-new, even more explosive Ken Warren at Bagong Yugto. His Wi-Fi superkick has always been a deadly weapon to kick opponent's heads off; imagine how much more lethal it may be with more refreshed and recharged legs behind them.

Panzer, on the other hand, has been grinding himself to the bone the past few months, most memorably squaring off against the monstruous Apocalypse in a bloody All Out War at Renaissance 2016, then eking out a win over the promising "Golden Boy" Chino Guinto at Suplex Sunday. We're pretty sure he's been picking up more than a few bumps and bruises along the way, and Warren is going to be all too glad to take advantage of a beat-up Chris Panzer. He's fresh, he's angry, and he's hungry to reestablish himself at the top of PWR's championship scene.

And yet, even if PWR's resident #workhorse does make it past Chris Panzer, he's got an ominous mountain of a man potentially waiting in the wings...

Yowza. Now that's a match we'd love to see.

Prediction: Ken Warren wins via Wi-Fi.
