#MustWatchMonday (11/7/16): Dragón Lee, Guerrero Maya Jr., Máscara Dorada vs Euforia, Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja

This isn't some crazy hot take or anything, but the WWE has failed to distinguish or properly define the Cruiserweight division ever since they were brought up to RAW. Most fans have no idea who the wrestlers are, are given no reason to care, and even the message eventually just devolves into your everyday TV match you might see the heavyweights have. No one has any heat, and all the momentum that the Cruiserweights might have had after the massive success that was the Cruiserweight Classic is pretty much non-existent.

If the WWE can't even generate interest for the small amount of Cruiserweights they've already debuted on the main roster, it's worrying how they'll handle the next batch of Cruiserweights who'll be coming in. International stars Mascara Dorada (Gran Metalik), Akira Tozawa, and Jack Gallagher are all finishing up their dates with their home promotions before making the jump to the WWE for good, and how they'll be handled and booked is all up in the air.

Despite how badly the Cruiserweights have been handled however, it shouldn't be forgotten that this entire division, both the ones that have debuted, and those who are about to, are all good to great wrestlers. Below will be an example showing such.

This match is from CMLL from a few weeks ago and features the team of Dragon Lee, Guerrero Maya Jr., and the WWE-bound Mascara Dorada (Gran Metalik, who will be having his CMLL farewell match in a few days' time) going up against the rudo (heel) team of Euforia, Gran Guerrero and Niebla Roja.

The way this six-man tag match is conducted is pretty much one of the styles of matches that the WWE should be trying to emulate in their cruiserweight division. The pace was crazy, there were dives everywhere, and just watching the match gets your adrenaline pumping and your heart racing. It's frenetic and chaotic, but you just can't keep your eyes off of it.

Maybe it's not too late for the Cruiserweights. With the announcement of 205 Live, maybe the Cruiserweights will have more time to distinguish themselves, and maybe they'll be given freedom to do what they need to do to get themselves over. It sucks that they need to add another hour of programming to the eight hours WWE gives us in a week; but maybe this will give the division some life. And if it doesn't, and all the new debuts fall flat on their face, go back to matches like these and remember that the men in that division are among the most talented in the world.

Despite being a huge fan of Japanese wrestling, he still holds a soft spot in his heart for WWE's Kane. He's good for recommending matches from pretty much anywhere, whether it be Japan, Europe, the US or Mexico. He'd be ecstatic if you watched Dragon Gate though.
