The Grapevine (10/21/16): Nails in the Coffin

Good morning, and this is your daily Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the founded and unfounded rumors abound the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the evening.

    More #LOLTNA news:

    • TNA is expected to file for bankruptcy pretty soon. There's just too much debt that potential buyers aren't willing to take on, and with pretty much no way to pay it back, this seem sto be the only way. According to Meltzer, however, Dixie Carter is still trying to find a way to save the company so as to not look bad. (Source: F4WOnline)

We say: There is literally no way to not look bad anymore, Tita Dixie. You're kind of out of your depth here.

    • One of the ways TNA seems to be trying to cash in is by taping a special Hardy Christmas episode from the Hardy compound in North Carolina. On top of a Total Nonstop Deletion episode of Impact Wrestling to air on December 15, they might also be taping a two-hour Christmas special to air on December 22. (Source: WON)

We say: Has this whole Hardy family thing jumped the shark? We mean, you kind of have to milk it for all it's worth, but this is kind of too much already.

    • Sasha Banks is training to add more muscle in order to be more resilient. Sasha has been pretty injury-prone, especially after coming to the main roster, and with the very first women's Hell in a Cell match coming up, it means that there might be some bigger spots for them to pull off. (Source: WON)

We say: Sounds like a good idea. Sasha is all sorts of athletic, but one of the main concerns some of us have about her is that she looks too small to believably pull off some of the moves she does. If there's enough space for her to add muscle and look even more like an athlete (not to say that she doesn't already) then it's great.
