WWE RAW Results (7/11/16): Civil War

Monday night in Detroit, 8 days before the WWE Draft and the brand split, Vince McMahon made his return to name the Commissioners who will run RAW and Smackdown.

Shane McMahon will be in charge of Smackdown Live every Tuesday, while Stephanie McMahon will take over RAW starting next week!

Shane and Steph would then have to name by next week's RAW the General Managers who would run both shows on their behalf.

The Chairman dared his children to step up and compete against each other, saying, "Let the games begin!"

    Ambrose vs. Rollins... next week!

Seth Rollins continued his campaign to remove the suspended Roman Reigns from the WWE Title Triple Threat match at Battleground. He hosted a new talk show segment called "The Rollins Report" and played "footage" (spliced from old clips) of Reigns apparently begging off from Battleground.

WWE Champion Dean Ambrose then came out to offer a title defense against Rollins then and there. But Rollins chose to do it on his own terms: they'll battle for the WWE Title next week on RAW, ahead of the Battleground bout!

    Owens-Zayn saga continues

Unsafe working environment? Kevin Owens invoked that to Stephanie McMahon before his match against Cesaro, with Sami Zayn on commentary. Despite an authorization from Shane McMahon, Zayn left the commentary table without incident... but not without a scuffle with Owens as he made his entrance!

Owens defeated Cesaro after a torture rack neckbreaker. Zayn then returned to the ring and tussled with Owens some more... until Cesaro spun Owens around via the Cesaro Swing!

    Guess who's not in LA?

IT'S JOHN CENA! *doo doo-doo doo!*

Thought to be in Los Angeles for an ESPN show, Cena evened the odds when his Battleground partners Enzo and Big Cass won via DQ against Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows of The Club (w/ AJ Styles).

New Day on the Wyatts Ranch

A wild brawl ensued when the WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day visited the ranch of the Wyatt Family. See how the Wyatts and a flock of people in sheep masks intimidated the champions!

    The (other) BOSS is back!

With WWE Women's Champion Charlotte looking on, Sasha Banks defeated the champ's protege Dana Brooke via the Bank Statement. But Charlotte was not impressed.

She dared Sasha to face Dana again on Smackdown this Thursday, and maybe, just maybe, she'll get a title opportunity.

    Start of greatness?

Darren Young, now under Bob Backlund's wing, won an 18-man battle royal at the start of RAW to face The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship at Battleground. But his victory seemed to be borne out of luck.

In the final moments, Young was still recovering when Dolph Ziggler, then Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews were eliminated in quick succession, leaving Young the last man standing.

    Challenger becomes the challenged

Backstage, Zack Ryder challenged United States Champion Rusev to a title match. But Sheamus attacked Ryder out of nowhere and told Zack that he'll be facing him instead... after the break!

Sheamus made quick work of Ryder, finishing him off with a Brogue Kick. Rusev then heads out to the ring and accepted Ryder's challenge... while punishing him with an Accolade submission!

    The Rest of RAW

    * Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) defeated the Lucha Dragons (Kalisto and Sin Cara)

    * Titus O'Neil def. Heath Slater and Curtis Axel (w/ Bo Dallas) in a handicap match
