    The Grapevine (7/7/16): MOOSE

Good morning, and this is your daily Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the founded and unfounded rumors abound the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the evening.

Interesting news on the free agent front:

    • Moose has been offered a deal by TNA. It was originally reported by MLW that he signed with them, but Moose confirmed that it was only a contract offer. Ring of Honor is also trying to get him to re-sign with them. WWE wanted to sign Moose too, but due to the new directive of not signing anyone who could cause any controversy with the company, they had to back off. Moose had a domestic abuse charge against an ex-wife back in 2009. (Source: MLW, WON)

We say: Our hearts are torn on this one. On the one hand, all the Final Deletion shenanigans (that are indicative of the company's current creative direction) and the existence of a Bobby Lashley might make Moose's TNA run a waste. On the other hand, TNA needs all the talent it can get, and the existence of a Bobby Lashley to provide a dream match would be the best reason for a TNA run. We don't know!

    • According to Daily Wrestling News, there are plans to split up the New Day at this month's WWE Draft. Some reportedly believe that the New Day's buzz isn't as high as it once was, but others defend them by their merchandise sales. If that ever happens, people are reportedly high on Big E getting a singles push, but there are those against the idea for fear of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods getting lost in the midcard shuffle. (Source: Daily Wrestling News)

We say: Take with a grain of salt, as it could very well be informed speculation. That said, everyone in the New Day deserves a push. Even Kofi, who has proved to be very versatile in his role with the team. Nobody wants old Kofi back, man.

Let us know what you think of this week's news!
