The Grapevine (6/8/16): KO In The Bank

Good morning, and this is your daily Grapevine! This section of Smark Henry is where we round up all the founded and unfounded rumors abound the pro wrestling scene that you may have missed over the evening.

    • Could Kevin Owens be winning the briefcase? There's been word that Owens has, most importantly, Vince McMahon's support as of late, and there's "serious talk" that he could be winning the contract. WWE reportedly thinks he would be the best possible MITB winner to book out of the pool of six. (Source: Daily Wrestling News)

We say: This could very well just be speculation based on some really hardcore KO fandom (we don't especially trust the source). It does make sense, but that doesn't mean that it's what's going to happen over a week from now. Take with the entire salt shaker.

    • Speaking of the Money in the Bank ladder match, it's still possible for Bray Wyatt to be added to it. There are rumors that Bray is finally coming back to TV next week at RAW in New Orleans and that he would be a last-minute addition, but as of RAW it looked like there were only going to be six participants (even though the graphic had seven vacants). (Source: F4WOnline)

We say: If he's ready to go, we don't see why not. He doesn't necessarily have to win it, but it would be a nice comeback spot for him.

    • Luke Gallows is apparently a popular member of the WWE locker room. It's said that his easygoing (but not goofy) demeanor brings lightness and "levity" to a usually-tense locker room atmosphere. (Source: PWInsider)

We say: Honestly, we have to tell you that we don't know what this really means and why it's relevant to us as fans. But good on Luke, though.

Let us know what you think about this week's news in the comments!
