The Grapevine (5/3/16): Keep Calm And Jericho On

Good morning, and welcome to the daily Grapevine! Here is where we round up all the rumors, hearsay and tidbits of news from the wild world of professional wrestling that you may have missed over the evening.

We asked the question last night: is Jericho leaving?

    • Although Chris Jericho tweeted a tease that he was wrapping up his current WWE run, he's still scheduled to be on several shows from here on out. He showed up on RAW tonight, is scheduled for SmackDown tomorrow, and many other events this summer, including the Japan tour. (Source: PWInsider)

We say: Jericho's trolling aside, this has to be the most impressive latter-career run he's had in a while. How long will he last this time? Does this mean the fire is reignited? He might not always put out great matches, but he's still a solid hand to have.

    • The original plans for the tournament finals at Payback was to have the Vaudevillains win the match. It would probably have involved the Dudley Boyz interfering to cost Enzo and Cass the win. The Vaudevillains were awarded the #1 contendership on RAW tonight. (Source: PWInsider)

We say: That made sense. We're just glad Enzo's all right, despite the concussion.

    • Despite photos of him apparently in the area, Seth Rollins was not in Chicago for Payback. The photos being posted online were from last year. Rollins is currently in New Orleans filming Temple for WWE Studios. (Source: WrestlingInc)

We say: Some of you fans are just as bad as Duterte supporters, it seems.

What do you think? How long is Jericho staying around this time? Let us know what you think in the comments!
