    Jericho Out?

Just like when watching Game of Thrones, you try never to emotionally invest too much in Chris Jericho whenever he makes one of his sporadic returns to active broadcast competition.

The Ayatollah of Rock n' Rolla teased what seems to be another farewell to the WWE Universe on his official Twitter account, saying:

If this is goodbye yet again for Y2J, it certainly was a memorable four-month run, starting with his January 4th announcement that he would officially be returning to WWE programming to compete in the Royal Rumble. He lost the match, obviously, but did manage to emerge with this year's unofficial iron man record of 51:20 (we're not counting Roman Reigns' 59-minute run, by the way—we don't give credit for half-hour out-of-the-ring water breaks), lasting all the way from the #6 spot to come within a hair's breadth of joining the Final Four.

If this is the end of yet another Jericho TV run, he exits with a respectable 67% winning rate for 2016, including a memorable feud that helped cement AJ Styles as a legit player in the WWE, and some solid wins against the likes of Sami Zayn and current WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz.

For what it's worth, his band Fozzy's official website doesn't have any announced tour dates in the near future, although Jericho has announced as well that he's recently begun work on his fourth book.

We're still holding our breaths for that rumored Jericho vs. Shinsuke Nakamura match in the Tokyo Sumo Hall this July, especially after throwing some recent shade at the "King of Strong Style" via social media, saying, "Nakamura means nothing. He's a minor-league Jericho wannabe."

What do you think, Henrinites? Is Jericho taking a break from the WWE once again, or is he simply returning to the house show-only circuit? Or could this be another one of his infamous social media trolling episodes? Let us know in the comments section below.

At the very least, we're going to miss his $750 scarves.
