The Grapevine (4/19/16): The TNA Takeover Continues

Good morning, and welcome to the daily Grapevine! Here is where we round up all the rumors, hearsay and tidbits of news from the wild world of professional wrestling that you may have missed over the evening.

We have more on the TNA takeover story:

    • Aroluxe Marketing, which former WWF wrestlers Ron and Don Harris are involved with, may be the ones to take over TNA. TNA has been out of money, and Aroluxe has been covering pretty much all the costs lately. Apparently, if TNA doesn't pay them back sometime this week, Aroluxe could end up with majority control of the company. Dixie Carter has been turning down offers because they mostly involve losing that control. The Harris brothers are already going around TNA having meetings in the event they have to take over. (Source: PWInsider)

We say: Things are that bad that the best people to take over the company are a couple of neo-Nazis? We feel like anyone is a much better manager than Tita Dixie, though.

    • As you may have heard, MVP was fired from Lucha Underground for having Jeff Cobb and Catrina on his podcast. Officials were apparently upset that some things from the story were leaked (except for Cobb's identity as Matanza Cueto). MVP took the episode down but it wasn't enough to stop him from getting fired. There's word going around that the firing was a "personal betrayal" of MVP, but no details as to who and why. (Source: WON)

We say: We expected Lucha Underground to be the very last place on pro wrestling with political issues. LU fans may not realize it, but the company's on a bit of a downslide, and this is the last thing they need right now. Get it together, LU.

What do you think? Are we getting new TNA owners by the end of the week? Let us know what you think in the comments!
